Silestone Kensho is a quartz stone that has superior technical specification. The Silestone brand is a name that you can place your trust in and know that the stone will be of the highest quality, along with the service that you will receive. Whilst not heat-proof, their quartz surfaces are resistant to temperatures up to 80 degrees, and also to freezing temperatures. This make Silestone Kensho quartz an ideal selection for applications within the home that will be exposed to varying temperature levels, such as the kitchen.

There are very few pores in the surface of Silestone Kensho, a property that makes it very resistant to staining. The surface requires very little maintenance outside of the standard everyday cleaning. Silestone Kensho features Silestone’s signature N-Boost treatment, a technology that minimises even further the pores in the stone’s surface, increasing its already high resistance to staining.

In addition to the highest standard of quality, industry leading technology and renowned reliability as a product, Silestone features a wide range of over fifty colours, ranging from the classic quartz staples to some unique colours. Silestone Quartz stones are available in polished, suede and volcanic textures, meaning that you can find a design to suit any specification. Some of the Silestone colours are also available in integrated sinks and tiles.

Silestone slabs area produced in several different formats. The standard slab size has dimensions of 3040mm x 1380mm. A number of colours within the range are also available in dimensions of 3250mm x 1590mm. In instances where there are large islands and surface areas, the jumbo slab is the ideal solution to preserve a seamless finish with minimal joints.

Various kitchen styles or purposes of application may need different thicknesses of stone. Worktops that are 30mm thick and above are usually employed in traditional, shaker or country-style kitchens. Worktops that are of the thinner specification, such as 20mm or 12mm are best suited for contemporary or industrial style kitchens, where the other features such as the handleless doors are 20mm thick. All Silestone colours are available in three slab thicknesses, 12mm, 20mm and 30mm. The thinner slabs are even suitable for wall installations such as feature walls, shower or bathroom facades and other cladding purposes.

On top of these already outstanding features, Silestone Kensho features Silestone’s unique and patented anti-bacterial finish. The only quartz stone on the market to hold this feature, Silestone products are therefore certified for use in areas where the highest hygiene standards are imperative. This includes hospitals, commercial kitchens, or areas that come into regular contact with children and vulnerable people.

Silestone surfaces are available in various different finishes, as mentioned above. If you are looking for a high gloss finish that is highly resistant to staining and scratching, then Silestone polished worktops would be an excellent choice for you. If you have a kitchen design that includes a lot of matte textured accents, and are wanting a silky, stone touch worktop then Silestone suede surfaces are a viable option for you. If you are looking for a stone with a unique texture that does not compromise the durability of the stone or resistance to staining or scratching, then Silestone Volcanic texture is an excellent choice for your worktops.
